Suzanne grew up on Long Island, NY. Her love of horses began at an early age and continued to flourish as she became an avid competitor on the hunter/jumper circuit. She is a 1993 graduate of Skidmore college and continued her education at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1998.
After graduation she went to work at the local Thoroughbred racetracks where she met one of the original founders of Backstretch Veterinary, Dr. Erica Fuller. Suzanne came to work for the practice shortly thereafter, and eventually took the practice over when Erica decided to pursue a new career in Law.
Her particular interests are lameness and performance problems in the sport horse, and she is enjoying the updates in diagnostic imaging and therapy that the practice has recently acquired. In her free time, Suzanne still enjoys riding her horses, as well as spending time with her husband, Elkin, and their crew of dogs and cats. |
