Day or night, we’re available for any emergencies you might experience with your horse.  As some emergencies are more critical than others, it is best to give us a call as soon as it is apparent there might be a problem. Consulting with the on-call veterinarian is always encouraged, even if it is determined that the horse does not need to be seen. 

Our emergency policy and procedure is as follows;

*One of our three veterinarians will be on call at all times. If you think you have an emergency during normal business hours (8am-3pm) please call Jean in the office. She will take your information and relay it to a veterinarian who will decide the best plan of action. 

*The answering service should be called directly after hours or if there is no answer at the office. The operator will forward your message to the veterinarian on call. If you do no receive a call back within 10 minutes of your initial call, please call the answering service back and they will page and/or call us again. Please make sure to describe the nature of the emergency to the operator so it will be passed along to the veterinarian on call.
